2023 coming to an end means it’s time to look towards 2024. This can look like setting targets and goals, but it also looks like planning out your event calendar and understanding what your next year will look like for your business. In the corporate world, it’s very important to plan ahead, especially when it comes to events, so we wanted to give you a hand in planning your corporate events for 2024.
Here are 5 corporate events your company should host in 2024, and some tips on how to make them happen!
Professional development workshop
Development never stops, and arming your team with the skills to continually improve themselves and those around them is the recipe to running a successful business. We often host these types of events early in the year and use all areas of our event venue. Consider bringing in a keynote speaker in the morning to speak to your entire group, and using breakout rooms for more focused discussion following the presentation. We can serve your group a delicious lunch, and you can then have a series of speakers for smaller groups and activities to fill the afternoon. Your team will walk away from this event feeling more ready to take on the year!
Team building day
There are so many different routes you can take when you plan a team building day, but we see one continually that we think is fun and also effective! The plan for your team building day is as follows: organize a sports tournament for the day, and then a catered lunch or dinner to unwind after the activities. If there are winners to be crowned from the day of sports, you can crown them here. Some sports to consider are a golf tournament, volleyball tournament, or even bowling! This event can be done year-round, but we most often see team building days in the warmer months.
Award ceremony
Recognizing the accomplishments of your employees is essential in fostering great work culture and an environment of collaboration and initiative. So we recommend that you take this recognition to the next level, and hold an awards ceremony banquet to recognize your tope performers. To make it even more fun, put in place a theme for the evening that dictates the dress code, like a cowboys / Wild West theme! Have your guests arrive in the evening, serve them dinner and drinks, recognize their achievements with real prizes, and encourage networking within all levels of the company.
Fundraiser gala
While it’s important to focus on your internal company culture and the experience of your employees, it’s also important to focus on outreach, and that’s where a fundraiser gala comes in! This corporate event is one of our favourites to host, and we have extensive experience with this event type. Choose a cause that’s important to the company, invite your business associates and partners along with your staff, and host an upscale and memorable night that raises money for a good cause. Holiday party
What better way to end off the year than with a holiday party that allows your employees to let loose and celebrate the end of the year with their work family? And while you don’t need to have your event details finalized early in the year, it can be a good idea to have a date booked with your favourite venue to ensure availability for your corporate holiday party.
